Elizabeth T. Montgomery, Ph.D.

Senior Research Epidemiologist, Women’s Global Health Imperative

Dr. Montgomery is a behavioral epidemiologist specializing in novel biomedical and behavioral strategies to reduce HIV acquisition among women in Southern Africa. She is the principal or co-investigator for RTI on several studies examining the acceptability, safety, and use of novel HIV/STI prevention methods in Southern Africa. Dr. Montgomery has extensive experience training research staff; monitoring research studies; and writing and designing study protocols, operating procedures, data management systems, and data collection instruments. In addition, she has experience with quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, analysis, and writing. Dr. Montgomery holds an Associate Adjunct Professor position at UCSF.
