Natalia Teleshova, MD PhD

Natalia Teleshova is an immunologist at the Population Council's Center for Biomedical Research. Her laboratory focuses on biology of mucosal HIV transmission and preclinical testing of candidate MPTs. The laboratory uses in vitro and ex vivo mucosal models of HIV and HSV-2 infections in the testing algorithm.

Natalia conducted postdoctoral research at the Population Council and at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York studying biology of HIV infection and its prevention through microbicides and vaccines. She has MD from First Pavlov State Medical University in St. Petersburg, Russia, and PhD from the Karolinska Institute, Stockholm, Sweden.
