Tapiwa Manyarara

Tapiwa Manyarara is a pharmaceutical scientist with over 8 years' experience in the field of formulation technology, nanomedicine and product development. He holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons) degree (2009) and an MPhil. in Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology and Nanomedicine (2018) from the University of Zimbabwe. He joined the University of Zimbabwe as a junior lecturer in 2022 as a part of vibrant team for teaching and training Pharmaceutics in the Department of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. His research experience includes development of pediatric formulations for HIV positive children, optimization and formulation of anti-infectives using indigenous herbal extracts and small-scale manufacture of cosmeceuticals. He has published his work in several journals and has supervised undergraduate student research work in pharmaceutical technology. He aspires to leverage his skill set, collaborations and shared experiences to promote pharma research and development, manufacturing and product innovations for Africa.
