Tendai L. Mabhumbo

Tendai is an Industrial Pharmacist currently with Wild Leaf Farms (Pvt) Ltd where he is the Quality Assurance Manager. His unique experience has given him the opportunity to be involved in the generic drug process which includes; research and development, product registration, manufacture, quality control, quality assurance, distribution and finally patient supply in the community pharmacy setting. Currently Tendai is applying his skillset in the Medicinal Cannabis Industry in which Wild Leaf aims to be the first Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) producer in Zimbabwe with clinical trials to follow for its use by HIV and Cancer patients among others.

Tendai holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy Honours Degree and a Master’s Degree in Applied Pharmaceutical Science majoring in Regulatory Affairs. His goal is to bridge the gap between manufacturers and National Regulatory Authorities (NRAs) through policy development in order to contribute to sustainable access to medicines not only in Zimbabwe but across the African continent.
