Mercy Akinyi is a passionate and dedicated research officer at KEMRI-CVR, with over 4 years of experience specializing in molecular surveillance of viruses. As a research officer, she plays a crucial role in identifying and monitoring viral strains, employing molecular techniques to track their evolution and detect potential outbreaks. With a Bachelor's degree in Medical Biochemistry (JKUAT) and currently pursuing an MPH in Epidemiology, Mercy possesses a solid academic foundation in the field of life sciences and has developed a versatile skill set encompassing molecular biology and epidemiological research.
